Management

Located outside of Washington, D.C., Henry Investment Partners is a private commercial real estate development firm that specializes in high quality multi-family residential and mixed-use properties.

The firm utilizes a fiscally conservative model sharply focused on value creation, relying primarily on expertise in entitlements and design rather than excessive leverage to create extraordinary returns for it and its co-venture investors. The firm and its partners have generated more than $440 million in cash distributions and value creation for the firm, its partners and co-ventures during the past two decades.

Henry Investment Partners are strong proponents of creating stronger communities through the successful collaboration on important public and private goals. This often takes the form of integration of transit or transportation facilities, parks, open spaces and flexible streetscapes into the projects, to provide both a successful environment and stable new tax base. Many of the firm’s projects are less than a mile from an existing or planned transit facility, permitting the intelligent concentration of density and services where the automobile is no longer essential for many trips.

The firm has been at the forefront of sustainable design for many years, carefully integrating its projects into the surrounding environment. Awards have included, among others, the prodigious NAIOP “Best Smart Growth Master Plan” and the “Wildlife Management Award” for a collaborative effort with the Humane Society of the United States to save endangered Box Turtles.

Mr. Henry, founder of Henry Investment Partners, is responsible for strategic planning, risk management, operational aspects and investment decisions, and has been involved in all aspects of design, development acquisitions, construction, management and financing of more than 5 million square feet of mixed-use development.

Mr. Henry graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Cal State, Hayward and a juris doctorate from the University of Idaho Law School. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and devotes time to serving on the Reston Town Center board and various charities.

Ms. Henry is responsible for property layout and design, coordination with the governmental approval agencies, and the integration of the retail components into the mixed-use environment.
